Sabathia threw 7 2/3 innings of 2-hit ball. It’s probably a good thing someone got a hit off of him. He threw 123 pitches; I’d hate to be Joe Girardi deciding whether to pull your no-hit pitcher or leave him in for 150 pitches.
Three straight wins against the Sox feels good. It seems like we’ve locked up the AL East, though it’s only the beginning of August. Let’s hope the boys can sustain this momentum through October.
